!!Warning, Scammer Posing as ACME Locksmith Technician!!
Someone is doing business as an ACME Locksmith technician that is in no way affiliated with our company. They are listing under our business name, but with a different phone number.
On May 18th, we started receiving phone calls about a locksmith posing as an ACME Locksmith technician. This fraudulent locksmith claims to be associated with ACME Locksmith when in reality he is not connected to ACME in any way.
Some customers have sent him away after immediately realizing that something was not right. In some instances he has fixed the problem but tells customers that they must pay much more than they were quoted, and in other cases he has not been able to fix the problem and tells the customer that he has to come back but never returns.
This locksmith imposter does not show up in a ACME marked vehicle, and he doesn't have any ACME identification.
To be sure you are hiring a highly trained ACME Locksmith technician check for these items.
1) ACME technicians arrive in highly marked vehicles. All of our vans and trucks will look like the one shown here.
2) ACME technicians will have shirts identifying them as a member of the ACME Locksmith team.
3) ACME technicians will have invoices clearly marked with our logo, phone number, and address. This is true of our emailed invoice/receipts as well.
4) ACME technicians will be able to solve your lock problem. Our vans are fully equipped mobile locksmith shops. There is NO residential or high security lock that our technicians will not be able to work on. If your door hardware is particularly uncommon, parts may need to be ordered, but you will hear from our parts manager by the end of the next business day.
