Should You Rekey Your Car?

Unless you fear that someone may have found you lost keys AND have a way to tie them to your address, when you’ve lost a set of keys you do not need to rekey the car locks.

Even if your keys are stolen and your address is known, many vehicles allow us to remove all the keys of FOBs that were programmed to the car so that they will no longer start the vehicle. A key may still be able to open the door, but someone would not be able to use the key/FOB to start the vehicle.
